The SBU women’s soccer team went up against NJIT in their third game of the America East conference on Sunday, March 12. In a blowout win at home, the Seawolves showed their complete dominance and won 5-0 — their largest margin of victory since 2019.
In a season that easily could have been considered a turnaround year for a team with a new head coach following a first round exit in the playoffs, the Stony Brook women’s soccer team capped off an unforgettable season as the 2019 America East champions following a 2-1 victory over the Hartford Hawks.
“UAlbany was a very well-coached team and they are a handful offensively,” head coach Tobias Bischof said in a press release. “We thought we had a good game plan and we did a good job of following it, taking advantage of the chances we had. We work on set pieces a lot in practice so it was nice to see us take advantage tonight.”
The Stony Brook women’s soccer team carried on their three-game winning streak with a 2-0 defeat of conference rival Binghamton on Sunday, Oct. 6, propelling them to the top of the America East standings with an undefeated 3-0 conference record and a 9-4 overall record.
