On Aug. 19, Danielle Sutton objected to a motion from the university in a letter to dismiss her amended complaint, filed April 15, against the university, two faculty members and former university president Samuel Stanley.
A former Stony Brook student is suing the university and two of its employees, claiming she was unfairly taken out of her student teaching internship and expelled from the graduate English education program after she expressed concerns about her former student teaching supervisor.
“It was very upsetting to find out that they were canceling the commencement ceremony especially without even giving a reason as to why,” Saviano said.
