The Stony Brook’s men’s soccer team feasted on a Division III opponent for its first nonconference victory of the season. In their return to Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium on Tuesday, the Seawolves welcomed the St. Joseph’s Golden Eagles.
With the 1-0 loss down in North Carolina, the team secured a winless record on the road against conference opponents in 2022. Stony Brook was also officially eliminated from the postseason, becoming the first team in the conference to reach that low.
Coming off of a very promising 2021 season, the Stony Brook men’s soccer team will look to continue to trend upwards in 2022. However, they may find that task difficult given the circumstances surrounding this year’s team.
