Stony Brook Men’s Lacrosse never took a lead against the Princeton Tigers in its 16-8 defeat on Saturday, April 7 at Class of 1952 Stadium in Princeton, New Jersey.
Brown’s swift offensive tempo didn’t let up, as the team scored four straight and outscored Stony Brook 4-1 in the second period. Stony Brook’s defense failed to control the tempo for a large portion of the first half, allowing a total of 25 shots.
However, this game was different from the rest, as Stony Brook took the lead early and did not look back, recording their sixth consecutive win against Hartford.
The Seawolves’ push for victory in the final quarter ultimately fell short as they ran out of time, falling to Hofstra Tuesday night by a score of 11-9 at James H. Shuart Stadium.
The Stony Brook men’s lacrosse team overcame a three goal deficit at the half to eventually win the back-and-forth game on a last minute goal to defeat Sacred Heart, 12-11.
The America East Championships start Thursday night in Albany when the second-seeded Seawolves face the third-seeded Catamounts in a semi-final matchup beginning at 4:30 p.m.
