    Stony Brook football dominates Albany in Battle for the Golden Apple

    The Golden Apple is staying on Long Island. In a dominating effort from the opening snap, the Stony Brook football team blew out the Albany Great Danes, its biggest rival, 36-14 on Saturday, Nov. 20 to secure its second straight win in the series.

    The Stony Brook football team snapped its four-game losing streak on Saturday afternoon at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium by beating the No. 14-ranked Delaware Blue Hens 34-17. Stony Brook came into the game at 1-5 (0-3 CAA), losing their last two games by a touchdown each.
