As they did all tournament long, Stony Brook dug themselves out of a deficit on Saturday, May 25 in the championship game of the America East Conference Baseball Tournament.
Coming off last weekend’s series win at Binghamton, Stony Brook Baseball returned home to take on an old adversary, the Albany Great Danes, in a three-game set.
Stony Brook Baseball returned to Joe Nathan Field this weekend, winning their doubleheader bout against Maine Saturday and Sunday. The Seawolves won their games 8-3, 5-3 and 2-0 respectively.
Splitting the first two games on Friday, Feb. 22 and Saturday, Feb. 23, the Seawolves dropped the finale on Sunday, Feb. 24 and walked away with a 3-3 overall record.
The Seawolves opened the tournament Wednesday, May 23 with a 2-1 victory over the Maine Black Bears, before falling to the top-seeded Hartford Hawks on Thursday, May 24.
No. 2 Stony Brook Baseball closed out its home schedule with a series win against the No. 1 Hartford Hawks, splitting a double header on Saturday before winning the rubber game on Sunday.
The Stony Brook baseball team hosted Bryant and UMass at Joe Nathan Field over the weekend in their final non-conference games of the regular season, taking both games against Bryant on Friday and Sunday, and dropping Saturday’s game against UMass.
