    Due to inclement weather conditions, the Seawolves’ championship round game was suspended and eventually canceled, sending SBU home empty-handed as NJIT was controversially crowned champion by the America East as the only unbeaten team in the event.

    In their final Southern road trip of the season, the Stony Brook baseball team returned to Hammond, Louisiana for a second straight year and lost two of three from Friday, Feb. 28 to Sunday, March 1, completing the opening 10-game stretch with a 2-8 record.

    Stony Brook Baseball returned to Joe Nathan Field this weekend, winning their doubleheader bout against Maine Saturday and Sunday. The Seawolves won their games 8-3, 5-3 and 2-0 respectively.
