The Stony Brook Baseball team traveled to UMass Lowell over the weekend for a three-game stretch against the River Hawks and came away with one win and two defeats. This was Stony Brook's first conference series loss on the season, dropping their overall record to 22-13 on the season and their record in America East play to 8-3.

Seawolves Baseball hoping to start season strong, win conference championship

It has been a crazy two years for Stony Brook baseball. In 2012, a veteran team of Seawolves did the seemingly impossible by making it to the College World Series with the most wins in Division I baseball. In 2013, a much younger SBU team started off poorly, losing the first nine games, but battled back to end the season with a 15-15 conference record that secured the team a playoff berth.
