Stony Brook University plans to hold an in-person September commencement for its 2020 graduates. According to a new page on the university’s commencement website, the ceremony will be held on Friday, Sept. 10 in Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium.
Stony Brook University alumnus and professor, cofounders of their technology startup Akai Kaeru, create an algorithm that can predict which counties will have a higher-than-average rate of deaths caused by COVID-19.
Interim Vice President of Advancement, Deborah Lowen-Klein, wrote that “we are grateful to him for his service for our University and wish him luck in his new position at Farmingdale State, another SUNY institution.”
