It seemed like the insurance goal that the Stony Brook Men’s Soccer team had scored would be enough to send the Seawolves to the semifinals. It was not to be.
It was a low scoring affair on Sunday afternoon for Stony Brook Men’s Soccer against Vermont on Sunday afternoon, as the game ended in a 1-1 draw at LaValle Stadium.
“I thought we dominated the game tonight, just came out with a tough loss,” SBU head coach Ryan Anatol said following the men’s soccer team’s loss against Harvard.
Stony Brook Men’s Soccer lost its second consecutive game on Wednesday night, falling 3-1 to the Iona Gaels. The Seawolves’ goal came in the 25th minute from Serge Gamwanya.
The Stony Brook University men’s soccer team started its new season on Aug. 28, giving it a chance to kick off its quest of improving last year’s performance.
On Monday night, the men’s soccer team faced off against the Sacred Heart Pioneers in what was a rough match for both sides, as it ended in a scoreless draw after overtime.
