Two seasons ago, Stony Brook graduate guard Elijah Olaniyi came into his own, solidifying himself as a star as a junior by putting up averages of 18.0 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. The Seawolves finished 20-13 and in second place in the America East, but were bounced by Hartford in the semifinals of the conference tournament.

The Seawolves were picked to win the America East in the conference’s preseason poll, but Policelli showed just how nonchalantly they are handling the spotlight.

Biden’s $1.2 Trillion infrastructure package has passed, but what’s next?

On Nov. 5, President Biden’s $1.2 trillion bipartisan infrastructure bill passed in Congress and will be signed by the President within the next week. The bill will provide billions of dollars to states for the improvement of roads and other transportation infrastructure, as well as the expansion of broadband internet service, endeavors which will hopefully stimulate the economy.

Football preview: Stony Brook looks to extend win streak against No. 8 Villanova

Winners of three straight after their 22-17 road win against Maine last weekend, the Stony Brook football will travel to face the No. 8 Villanova Wildcats at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 13. The Wildcats occupy second place in the Colonial Athletic Association with a 7-2 (5-1 CAA) record and are coming off a 35-0 road win against Elon.
