Stony Brook and Buffalo formally named New York public flagship universities

Stony Brook University was formally designated as a flagship public university of New York alongside the University at Buffalo by Gov. Kathy Hochul on Jan. 5. The announcement was made during Hochul’s first annual State of the State address.
