In the final seconds of a conference matchup on Saturday, April 9, the Seawolves secured a dominant 20-6 victory over New Hampshire at LaValle Stadium.
Rainy weather led officials to call Sunday’s game, and since the game did not go five innings, it could not count in the record books. The Seawolves officially split the series.
Returning home after a road trip to Brown, Stony Brook repeated its offensive success with yet another blowout victory. The Seawolves ran away with a 14-4 win over the Vermont Catamounts in their conference opener on March 26.
On Thursday, the Brown Bears scored 22 goals against Central Connecticut — the most they have scored in a single game this season. But when the Seawolves came to town on Tuesday, March 22, the Bears couldn’t score more than three.

The Stony Brook softball team fell to the Fordham Rams in a two-game sweep on Wednesday, Mar. 16. The Seawolves now drop to a 9-7 record, the closest they have been to .500 all season long.
Devon McLane minimized the Bears’ first half struggles with three goals in just three minutes of play. He secured a hat trick in the third quarter alone, giving Brown a comfortable three-point lead to topple the Seawolves by a final score of 10-7.
It was difficult to imagine Stony Brook falling after defeating two Power Five schools and a member of the Big East, but the Seawolves were unable to hold on.
