Argentinian artist Luciano Garbati unveiled his sculpture “Medusa with the Head of Perseus” in Manhattan’s Collect Pond Park on Tuesday, October 13. The statue is part of the Art in the Parks Program and will remain in the park until April 2021.
On Friday, Feb. 21, the Staller Center for the Arts presented the acclaimed film “Harriet” to a nearly full audience. Directed by Kassi Lemmons, “Harriet” follows American heroine Harriet Tubman on her journey to freedom and her work in the Underground Railroad.

On Wednesday, Oct. 9, the Hispanic Heritage Month Planning Committee held the 30th Annual Opening Ceremony Celebration, to welcome Hispanic Heritage Month (HHM). Ballroom A of the Student Activities Center was decorated with tables containing centerpieces of flags of Latin American countries.
