Construction starting for Long Island’s first LGBT affordable housing project

The 16-year-old structure is being torn down this April to make room for 75 units of budget-friendly residential properties, which will be built by The D&F Development Crew and expected to be ready for use by May 2020.

89 North, a bar in Patchogue, is typically a music venue built for a fun night out. But on Tuesday evenings and Sunday mornings, its dance floor and black wooden stage transform into the unlikely location of mass, held by a Christian-based group called The Harbor Church.
