A matchup against a top-25 nationally ranked opponent proved to be too much for the Stony Brook women’s basketball team as they were defeated by the No. 23 University of Arkansas Razorbacks on Sunday, Nov. 17. The Razorbacks had no trouble scoring the ball and ended up outscoring the Seawolves 88-58.
For the past 434 days, the Stony Brook football team’s record was .500 or better. Following their 17-10 loss to the University of Delaware Blue Hens (5-6, 3-4), the Seawolves (5-6, 2-5) winning percentage is now .455 and they have now lost five of their past six games after starting the season 4-1.
Stony Brook women’s basketball team went into the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex on Wednesday night, Nov. 13, looking for their third straight victory to open the season. By the time the final buzzer sounded, the Seawolves had cruised to an 81-38 victory over Hofstra University Pride.
