Stony Brook’s Undergraduate Student Government passed a resolution during their senate meeting on Monday March 1, outlining their discontent with the lack of transparency and collaboration between the campus administration and USG.
I was shocked that a campus administration that has vocalized its support of Dreamers, Muslims and transgender people in this past year alone has not made an active effort to tell the survivors of abuse on its campus that it stands with them.
Stony Brook students and adjuncts rally to save adjunct jobs in the university’s Writing and Rhetoric program on Wednesday, Nov. 15. Due to a budget deficit of $35 million, nearly half of the program’s adjuncts have been let go and will not return for the Spring 2018 semester.
The Charles B. Wang Center’s cultural program, “OM Lab,” offers visitors a unique experience where they can learn about the significance of the this ancient syllable. Visitors can also record their own voices to add to a collective chant.
