In a 1997 Stony Brook University study, psychologist Arthur Aron explored whether intimacy between two strangers could be accelerated by asking each other 36 personal questions. Since then, this transformative quiz has elevated the intimacy between thousands of strangers — blossoming friendships, romances and marriages.
