Director Zack Snyder’s latest work, “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” features the battle between two of DC Comics’ iconic heroes and the results did them justice.

The movie takes place 18 months after the events of the previous film, “Man of Steel.” Around this time, Superman (Henry Cavill) is seen to some people as a killer, after the destructive battle in Metropolis against General Zod. People start to see Superman as an enemy when people are killed as he rescues his girlfriend, Lois Lane (Amy Adams), from a hostage situation from a fictional country in Africa.

The Kryptonian also made an enemy with the wealthy dark knight himself, Batman (Ben Affleck). The Dark Knight then trains and infiltrates Lex Luthor’s (Jesse Eisenberg) fundraiser in order to gain access to his plans for Superman. Luthor also sees Superman as a threat and searches for kryptonite in order to weaken and defeat him.

Some other DC characters made their appearances in the movie, including Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) and Doomsday (Robin Atkin Downes).  The actors’ performances were decent throughout the entire movie.

Both Cavill and Affleck had different heroes to play and their acting did not disappoint. Both played their roles with passion and strength.

Affleck’s performance as the Dark Knight was impressive with his dark behavior and brutal fighting style. Affleck, the star of the 2003 film “Daredevil” star, continued to impress his fans and now the DC Comic fans.

Eisenberg brought a dash of comedy to the movie in his role as Luthor. His humorous wit, mixed with his dark side, brought laughter to the DC fans.

Batman and Superman have different ways of being heroes. Superman saves people from burning buildings, and then works as a journalist at the Daily Planet as Clark Kent blending into every day society. Batman, however, catches criminals and then leaves burn marks of his bat logo on their skin.

When moviegoers see the legendary battle between the Kryptonian and the Dark Knight, it will leave them captivated.

The movie’s special effects were intense as the story went along. One example is when Doomsday unleashed his energy around Gotham City.  It looked realistic and will have people glued to their seats.

Bottom line, “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” is a must-see action-packed movie for those who enjoy intense sci-fi action and the DC Comic universe.
