Softball stays red-hot, sweeps Maine

Warney receives AP All-American honorable mention

On Monday the Associated Press announced their All-America team selections, and Stony Brook’s Jameel Warney was one of the players chosen to receive an honorable mention. The sophomore forward led the America East conference in field goal percentage this season, and also helped his team reach the America East championship game.

The Stony Brook Women’s Lacrosse team reeled off their fourth win in row on Saturday, blowing out Siena by the score of 19-6. Dorrien Van Dyke finished with five goals and four assists and set the program’s freshmen record for most points in a game.

The highlight of the three game series came early Saturday afternoon when senior pitcher Frankie Vanderka pitched his third career no-hitter.
